Projects, One to One

We offer monthly group residencies, where 4 artists work with Soledad Salame and Randi Reiss-McCormack or Jessica Childress to each create a portfolio of prints.

A single artist can work one-on-one with Soledad in the studio on special projects. This cost includes all studio materials (excluding paper and plates), and the help of a studio assistant. Projects should be discussed in advance. Price is $650 per day, minimum of 3 days.

For two artists working exclusively with Soledad, the cost is $375 per artist per day, with a minimum of 3 days.  This cost includes all studio materials (excluding paper and plates), and the help of a studio assistant. 

Studio hours are from 10 am to 4 pm

Jane Eifler produced four editions with Soledad Salame and Jessica Childress.

Ken Huston:
Ken Huston produced several editions in relief printing 

Katherine Kavanaugh: Refugee Series
Soledad Salame assisted Katherine to produce her "Refugee Series". 

The Margaret T. Burroughs: Mentoring Project took place in June of 2011 with artists Joyce J. Scott and Oletha DeVane.  Joyce and Oletha worked with Soledad over 3 days to create monoprints which commemorated former activist of black history, Margaret T. Burroughs, who passed away November of 2010.  Artist and high school teacher, Burroughs founded the DuSable Museum of African American History in Chicago.
